Historic Places At Risk
Will the Landmarks Preservation Commission act in time to save them?
At last count,
there are over 40 neighborhoods throughout the city that have requested landmarks designation and are waiting for a response from the Landmarks Commission. Unless the Commission gets the funding, the staff and the political independence
it needs to do its job, how many of these historic neighborhoods will be left?
