MARCH TO SAVE OUR PARK!

The American Museum of Natural History has proposed an expansion plan that would destroy community park land, expose thousands of people to toxic materials, and change the fabric of our neighborhood.

On Saturday, November 4th, at 1:00pm, we will assemble in front of the American Museum of Natural History on Central Park West and demonstrate our commitment to a green, community-centered city.

Say NO to the potential release of asbestos, benzene, lead, and other toxic substances into our air!

Say NO to the politicians’ allocation of $135 Million of our taxpayer dollars to a private institution!

Say NO to the creation of a major museum entrance on a residential street!

Say NO to the human and vehicular traffic from an estimated 1 Million additional museum visitors!

Say NO to the destruction of 7 majestic canopy trees and our tranquil, community-centered park!

The citizens of New York must stand together!

Our united presence and voice can raise the public awareness needed to stop this destructive, unnecessary, and dangerous construction.

We must let the Museum and our elected officials know that we will not allow our well-being to be bought and sold in back room deals!
